** Award winning dystopian romance **

"Mad Max meets Cinderella"

"A lot more than nothing" - History Repeats Book Blog

"Very Intense" - Lilbit Book Blog

"Torturously beautiful dystopian romance!" - Book Nerd Fan Girl Book Blog

“Move like the wind, protect your face, keep your eyes on the target, and don’t get dead.”

I am the daughter of a King,
but I am no princess.
I am loathed by many,
but feared by more.
To one I was nothing,
to another I am everything.
I am a pawn in their game,
a fighter in their ring.
My name is Nada,
and this is life in the underworld.

This book is recommended for readers 18+yrs. It contains violence, sexual content and language which some might find offensive. It is raw, and brutal, but also in so many ways, beautiful. I would describe it as Mad Max meeting Cinderella. I hope you enjoy it!

Darkness.
It's everywhere.
There's no escape.
Born in the depths of hell.
An underground prison called home.
Housing those who sinned on the outside, sent here to live a life of misery.
It's a fight just for survival.
Never been touched by sunshine.
Never been surrounded by color.
Your world is dark, black and everyday is a fight to live, even if that means your hands are covered in someone else's blood.
You will fight.
You won't let this hell break you.
You won't let him break you.
Because he may have taken your smile, your laugh, your emotions, but he can't take away the one thing you hang on too because it's your only life line left.
Hope....

Her name is Nada and this her story.

Years.
It's been years that hell has been home.
Once an everyday citizen, now a sinner condemned to a world that only exists for those who aren't welcome above ground anymore.
Darkness, it's suffocating, but there is no way out.
Never show fear.
Stay strong.
Fight.
Take a life.
It's the only way to survive in the bottomless pit.

His name is Shadow and this is his story.

This is Nada and Shadow's world where ugliness, torture and pain is a part of their everyday, and where love is simply unobtainable.

Guys this is my first novel by Kirsty Dallas and lordy what an absolute brilliant read.
A fan of all things dark, When Nothing Is All You've Got did not disappoint. It was a whole lot of dark, gritty, edgy, heartbreaking and breathtaking. An emotionally charged read that left me breathless.
A mind altering read that delved into the minds of those who had been conditioned, who had been tortured and who suffered pain like no other, that managed to still find hope.
A twisted read that delved into the raw emotions of those who knew no other way except to hate.
A brilliantly executed read that I simply can't rate high enough.
Sheer perfection.

5 stars.

When Nothing Is All You've Got eBook Kirsty Dallas Graphics Covered Ami Johnson Reviews

This is one of the best books I've ever read. From the moment I opened it up, I was hooked. So hooked that I only went to bed at 3am because I had to, not because I wanted to. Other reviews will tell you about characters and storyline, so I won't go into that. I could picture the whole book as if it was a movie running through my head, winced at the blows Nada received, cried as her heart broke, felt the loathing towards her 'father'. You cannot go wrong by reading this epic work by Kirsty. She truly has a gift and so generously shares it with all of us. Don't delay; dive into the Underworld and go on a journey with Nada and Shadow, Regan, Dejohn, and the despised Kingsley.
This is one of those books that leave you sitting there going WTF?? It is that good and that well written that I cannot recommend it enough.
Nada Is strong, resilient, dependable and she has a plan.
Shadow is her father "The King's" right hand man. Her father ultimately wants her dead.
These two have a undeniable attraction that could prove fatal. You may think this is a predictable story, but it is far from it.

Kirsty Dallas had written a story that is sad, rough, hard and almost poetic.
From the moment I picked it up I was captivated by a world that is dangerous and horrific. Where people are merely fighting to stay alive and with throw their allies under the bus if it means taking that one more breath.

Before I read this I had only read Kirsty's 'Mercy's Angels' series and let me tell you this is very very different from those books!!

I absolutely loved this book & could not help but fall in love with Nada & Shadows characters. My favourite line from this book is the one quoted above “Move like the wind, protect your face, keep your eyes on the target, and don’t get dead.”

If you like the darker side of romance & like your stories fast paced & full of intrigue & drama, you will love this book. Just make sure you set aside a few hours before you start reading because once you start that 1st page you won't want to put it down until the end.
3.5 instead of 5 because I couldn’t connect. The story is good, the detail perfect, sadly Nada has a very dead personality (which is required) and for me it made it impossible to connect. By the time she showed humane qualities I was already too deep in to care much about her. It’s not her fault, her life belongs to Kingsley and he doesn’t’ want anyone to care and he succeeded with me. I love dystopian books and I enjoyed this one but I didn’t throw a fit when I had to sit it down, I didn’t watch the clock till my next break to finish it, I just read it in the free time I had and never tried to “MAKE” time. Ragen was loveable or supposed to be but I felt nothing during the biggest heartbreak of the book. Some may disagree on the biggest heartbreak, there is tons of bad situations thought out the book. Lives lost/limbs cut from body/lashing/verbal abuse things of that nature. The book was done well as I could picture it all as it played out but I was numb, I felt NADA. My favorite if I had to pick would be Dejohn. I pictured him much like Jon Coffee from the Green Mile and loved him throughout the book. I will read other books by this author as I’ve enjoyed them in the past and again I didn’t hate this one I just didn’t get into like I wanted. I almost wonder if this was the goal from the get go with this book though, to make us feel nothing. Like by reading it we have nothing to lose, Nada?!
